Do any of these describe you?
- – You’ve learned the first position Pentatonic Minor Scale, and the Blues scale, but you know there’s more to playing lead than that, and you are already feeling limited and uninspired.
- – You know all the Minor Pentatonic Box Scales, and you can solo pretty well in them, but there are only limited ways and directions you can improvise.
- – You know something about the CAGED scale approach, and can play some in them, but theres still a sense of being “boxed in” and your playing is slow and tentative, or you are in a musical “rut”
- – All the scales you know, have finite beginning and ending points to the “patterns” and you cannot play in all directions all over the neck
Here’s the question:
If you identified with any of the above descriptions:
Can you play in any direction, up down, back and forth at any time at an improvisational speed, in any key?
Can you play your scales moving forward and backwards over any single, 2, 3 or 4 strings, at improvisational speed without making mistakes, in any key?
If you answered yes to both, then congratulations. Many people think that such achievements would take months and years of study and practice. We believe that our Lead Guitar Phase 1 approach to playing is a superior way to learning lead guitar and fretboard navigation, compared with both the CAGED and the Pentatonic Box Systems. There are benefits to both systems/approaches, and we do not want to discourage anyone in the study or application of these, but we find they are both very limiting, in that there are only certain directions that it allows the average user to go with their playing.
If you answered no to any of the above, consider enrolling in the Lead Guitar Phase 1 Module, following the successful completion of the Notes on the Neck Module. You will be able to Play Lead on the Guitar in any direction on any string or sets of strings in any Key.
In short, you will be able to answer YES to both questions above!
This is important, because mastery of that skill allows you total freedom on the fretboard of the guitar. There is not as much applied theory to this course as others, but this is a great way to unleash your fingers and playing options for the rest of your guitar playing life. You will be able to play everywhere at will.
This is a very in-depth course, but made so that it is easy to follow using a combination of Video Lectures, Drills, Applications, Homework, and Tests. For those of you interested in getting their Notes on the Neck down, before starting Lead Guitar Phase 1, we are offering our Notes Module with a Money Back Guarantee, for a limited time, for $30.00. This equates to $5.00 per lesson (6 lessons + test).
